Community Update - Membership Growth: This week, we proudly welcomed over 50 new members, bringing our total membership to over 500!
One of our new members has an impressive background, bringing 22 years of experience in infrastructure, operations, and security, including 14 years as a consultant. Their expertise encompasses a variety of crucial areas, such as Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and incident response.
Trending Certifications: This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the most sought-after cybersecurity certifications. With the rapidly evolving nature of the field, understanding which certifications are valuable can inform your career strategy.
Members are discussing their experiences with certifications such as COMPTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, and EC Council CEH. This ongoing dialogue offers insights into which certifications are most beneficial for job seekers and what preparation methods work best. Azure Security Best Practices: As Microsoft Azure becomes increasingly prominent in the IT landscape, we’re prioritizing Azure security discussions in the club.
This week, members will explore essential best practices for configuring Azure environments securely. Key topics will include using network security groups effectively, implementing Azure Firewall, and managing VM configurations to avoid security risks.
