New Resources
Here’s what’s new in Cybersecurity Club this week…
#1 Kanary Copilot (Anti-Doxxing)
Kanary offers a tool called Kanary Copilot, designed to help individuals combat doxxing and digital stalking. It provides automated online safety actions that can be managed privately from your device.
Users can join a waitlist for the Android app. The service emphasizes personalized safety, offering tailored guidance to take the right actions at critical moments. Since its launch in 2020, Kanary has gained a strong user base and has been well-received for its data removal services.
The Copilot aims to empower users by simplifying the protection process.
#2 Bug Bounty Hunting Write-Up
Bug Bounty Hunter, Mahmoud M., shares a compelling write-up detailing his journey from discovering a Blind XSS vulnerability to achieving Remote Code Execution (RCE) on a website.
After testing various inputs without success, he creatively modified his payload and tricked the admin into executing it, allowing him access to the admin panel.
His attempts to upload a PHP webshell initially failed, but he ultimately succeeded by injecting code into an HTTP header, executing commands stealthily without leaving traces in logs.
His experience highlights the importance of understanding vulnerabilities and employing innovative techniques in bug hunting.
#3 Cisco Courses with Hands-on Labs, Improve Your Networking Skills (FREE)
Jose Praveen T. shares an opportunity for individuals to enhance their networking skills through free Cisco courses with hands-on labs.
